Since the majority of news coming out lately is realted to new albums/ new tracks of bands releasing new material this year, I figured I should just ride that train as well. Find out which prog gods will be releasing a new album this year which you should be super jacked for after the break.
People. The legends of prog known as Cynic will be releasing a new album sometime this year. I really don't need to say much more than that. Although they split up after their first studio record release, Focus, in the early 90s, they played a huge role in what has become progressive metal today. Much to the relief of metal fans everywhere, Cynic reformed in 2007 and eventually released a new full length record, Traced In Air, in 2008. They are currently in the writing process for their new record so expect a release date to be later in the year. But nonetheless, you should be super jacked for it! Here's perhaps my favorite track from Traced In Air. Enjoy.
