We'll Do It Live Friday's (Midnight Edition): Finally, The Whales Have Come Back

So I've had a strange day. It was made more strange by Mick's threats that Joe Duplantier would lay the smacketh down on my ass if I didn't finish up two posts by the time I crashed. I have now fulfilled the promise, and have saved my soul. Whales smile everywhere.

The boys over at MetalSucks introduced the greater metal world to a collection of truly unreal videos of Gojira's entire live set at the 2010 Vieilles Charreus Festival in northern France. Yeah, I'd never heard of it either. The Vieilles Charreus Fest isn't catered to heavy bands, but that didn't stop Gojira from absolutely annihilating everything in their path. Granted, it's Gojira; that's what they do. And although the recordings of that set are truly stunning, this bootleg video from their set at Wacken Open Air 2010 shows Gojira with a crowd that matches their intensity and excellence.
