My point, exactly |
Well, apparently the British forefathers think that their act somehow applies to today's North American metal scene, despite never touring here before. I'd like to act like I really care about this news, but Diamond Head just really aren't that important today. If you haven't heard about them and their influence on early thrash by now, there's a good chance you won't give two shits about this news, and anyone who just somewhat appreciates their legacy (such as me) will just think to self, "ah, that's cool," and move on. Diamond Head certainly deserved to break through in the 80s, and unfortunately they never did like their peers in Iron Maiden or Judas Priest, but it's 2011... It's great that they wanna play their classics to crowds in the States every night, but does any body really care anymore?
